•Dr.ROCK: …yo entiendo que Usted, Manuel, se emocione y se desmadre alocadamente con la presencia del todopoderoso cantante Johnny Gioeli. Pero…si además se le van las cabras cuando la guitarra de AXEL RUDI PELL le guía con sus tradicionales canciones compuestas desde el mayor respeto e influencia por los grandes del Rock. Entonces es cuando Usted acude corriendo feliz a mi Consulta…¿es así?.
•MANU: Es que Doc…este alemán de alma musical británica con este nuevo disco “RISEN SYMBOL“, que lanza SPV el 14 de Junio, llevará publicados la friolera de ¡¡¡22 trabajos discográficos!!!. Junto al bajista y fiel escudero Volker Krawczak, su fenomenal teclista Ferdy Doernberg, el renombrado y famoso Bobby Rondinelli en la batería, y a la extraordinaria Fuerza de la Naturaleza en la voz de Johnny Gioeli, tiene en ellos a sus habituales y excelentes músicos.
•Dr.ROCK: Venga, no se enrolle mucho y acérqueme con sus comentarios alocados a este álbum y a la figura consagrada de AXEL RUDI PELL. Un músico y compositor que a base de tenacidad y fidelidad a un proceder brillante, invariable y efectivo, se ha posicionado entre los mejores. Se ha consolidado como un guitarrista apasionado, influyente e influenciado, de inmaculada trayectoria y con un merecido éxito entre sus acérrimos seguidores asegurado.
•MANU: Usted Doc, lo ha dicho todo. La Consulta es para mí, no para que Usted me chafe la visita, la guitarra y la correspondiente reseña para el blog de ViriAor. Le diré Doc, que como siempre, la primera pieza suele ser en sus discos un gran pelotazo de Hard Rock con estribillo demoledor y repleto de buena vibración. La intro oriental “The Resurrection” representa el símbolo egipcio en el que se basa Axel Rudi Pell para usar la llave que abre la vida después de la muerte. Aumenta la atención y la presión, y el poderoso Heavy Metal de “Forever strong” crece grande y fuerte como una pirámide dentro de mí. Batería bestial, guitarras ardiendo y Gioeli siempre marcando la gran diferencia. Mantiene esa característica y acertada costumbre y cumple con su misión. Todo suena familiar, cuadrado y melódico en el single “Guardian angel”, más clásico que los Clásicos y no se desvía ni un ápice en su propósito de honrar con técnica y volumen a sus eternos héroes musicales y espirituales. Esa engrasada Voz me mata, el bajo y la batería son de calidad y el tema conserva un aire a Rainbow/Magnum en modo Hard Rock accesible. El solo habla sin trabarse en el idioma Pell y está registrado en el Registro de la Propiedad Universal Musical.
•Dr.ROCK: Le noto frío Manu…en esta Consulta no se permite deambular sin concretar o expresarse a medio camino entre la pasión y la indecisión. Usted ya es veterano para andarse con tonterías. ¡¡Hable claro!!.
•MANU: ¡¡¡Qué presión!!!. Se va por tierras de Oriente con curvas exóticas y pirámides en erupción con un riff muy raro, casi funky, versionando el “Inmigrant Song” de los padres Led Zeppelin. Hay golpes de batería que son como chasquidos, un riff cambiado, un solo con mucho apetito cultural y una voz que llega a darle la vuelta al mundo montado en un antiguo y fascinante Zeppelin. Los teclados de Doernberg son siempre signo de ambientación perfecta y evocadora, y junto a ese ritmo hipnotizador de “Darkest hour” se expresa con limpieza la vocalizada y energética garganta de un Johnny Gioeli eufórico. Los vientos de arena espesa en “Ankhaia” caen sobre tu respiración como una calima calurosa, desértica es la melodía arábiga de teclados asiáticos. Axel Rudi Pell viaja con su guitarra polifacética, como hacían los Rockstars 70’s, a culturas bereberes, percusiones con formas de jeroglífico y esta Megacanción mezcla todas las creencias conocidas, lejanas en el tiempo pero geográficamente cercanas. Hard Rock contundente, épico y educativo, legendario e histórico, de 10 minutos como 10 Siglos y nosotros los iberos sabemos de los cruces culturales a través de nuestra rica Historia.
•Dr. ROCK: La verdad, es que me he perdido con su labia….enfatice y explote de una vez con la siguiente “Hell’s on fire”, entre en calor y quémese por dentro. ¡¡¡Arda en su infierno!!!
•MANU: Voy, voy!!….compone su típico y acostumbrado estribillo, su guitarra reconocible entre millones de otras guitarras, las estrofas y líneas vocales repetidas pero tan queridas son fuego real. Ante el conjunto arquitectónico y pianístico, sentimental y doloroso de Hard Rock intimista y descarnado de “Crying in pain” me arrodillo ante Usted, Dr. Rock, me rompo la camiseta y me compro la de Dio, la de Rainbow y la de AXEL RUDI PELL. Y le doy las gracias por parir esta impresionante y formidable Voz de Gioeli y haberlo unido al glorioso Axel. “Right on track” es para seguir el ritmo al galope de la sección rítmica, correr en la dirección indicada por el General Pell y cantar junto al Capitán Gioeli hasta vencer sin desfallecer. Se termina el álbum con la grandilocuente pieza “Taken by storm”, la presencia escénica y necesaria del teclado es como una alfombra roja por la que Axel se recrea en acordes y riffs amplios. Protagonismo para el solo de teclado y resuelto con un largo asedio de guitarra solista, siempre con influencia clásica de Blackmore, teñida de Hendrix, melódica de Vivian Campbell y oscura de Iommi….
•Dr.ROCK: Dígame unas últimas palabras con sentido, y sin tanta verborrea, sobre este Músico y su trayectoria. Doy por terminada la Consulta y le receto toda la discografía al completo de AXEL RUDI PELL.

•Dr.ROCK: …I understand that you, Manuel, get excited and go wild with the presence of the all-powerful singer Johnny Gioeli. But… he also gets crazy when AXEL RUDI PELL‘s guitar guides him with his traditional songs composed with the greatest respect and influence by the greats of Rock. That’s when you come running happy to my consultation…is that right?
•MANU: It’s just that Doc…this German with a British musical soul, with this new album “RISEN SYMBOL”, which SPV releases on June 14, will have published a whopping 22 albums!!!. Along with the bassist and faithful squire Volker Krawczak, his phenomenal keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg, the renowned and famous Bobby Rondinelli on drums, and the extraordinary Force of Nature in the voice of Johnny Gioeli, he has in them his usual and excellent musicians.
•Dr.ROCK: Come on, don’t get too carried away and approach me with your crazy comments about this album and the consecrated figure of AXEL RUDI PELL. A musician and composer who, based on tenacity and fidelity to a brilliant, invariable and effective procedure, has positioned himself among the best. He has established himself as a passionate, influential and influenced guitarist, with an immaculate career and with a well-deserved success among his staunch followers.
•MANU: You, Doc, have said it all. The Consultation is for me, not for You to ruin the visit, the guitar and the corresponding review for the ViriAor blog. That oily Voice kills me, the bass and drums are quality and the song retains an air of Rainbow/Magnum in accessible Hard Rock mode. He only speaks without hindrance in the Pell language and is registered in the Universal Musical Property Registry.
•Dr.ROCK: I feel cold Manu…in this Consultation it is not allowed to wander without specifying or expressing yourself halfway between passion and indecision. You’re a veteran of fooling around. Speak clearly!!
•MANU: What pressure!!! It goes through Eastern lands with exotic curves and erupting pyramids with a very strange, almost funky riff, covering the “Immigrant Song” by the parents Led Zeppelin. There are drum hits that are like clicks, a changed riff, a solo with a lot of cultural appetite and a voice that goes around the world riding an old and fascinating Zeppelin. Doernberg’s keyboards are always a sign of a perfect and evocative setting, and along with that hypnotizing rhythm of “Darkest hour” the vocalized and energetic throat of a euphoric Johnny Gioeli is clearly expressed. The winds of thick sand in “Ankhaia” fall on your breath like a hot haze, desert is the Arabic melody of Asian keyboards. Axel Rudi Pell travels with his multifaceted guitar, as the 70’s Rockstars did, to Berber cultures, percussions with hieroglyphic shapes and this Megasong mixes all known beliefs, distant in time but geographically close. Forceful Hard Rock, epic and educational, legendary and historical, 10 minutes like 10 centuries and we Iberians know about cultural intersections through our rich History.
•Dr. ROCK: The truth is that I have gotten lost with your talk….emphasize and explode at once with the following “Hell’s on Fire”, warm up and burn inside. Burn in your hell!!!
•MANU: I’m going, I’m going!!…he composes his typical and customary chorus, his guitar recognizable among millions of other guitars, the repeated but beloved verses and vocal lines are real fire. Before the architectural and piano, sentimental and painful ensemble of intimate and stark Hard Rock of “Crying in pain” I kneel before you, Dr. Rock, I tear my shirt and buy Dio’s, Rainbow’s and AXEL RUDI’s PELL. And I thank you for giving birth to this impressive and formidable Voice of Gioeli and uniting it with the glorious Axel. “Right on track” is to follow the galloping rhythm of the rhythm section, run in the direction indicated by General Pell and sing along with Captain Gioeli until you win without fainting. The album ends with the bombastic piece “Taken by storm”, the stage and necessary presence of the keyboard is like a red carpet along which Axel recreates himself in broad chords and riffs. Prominence for the keyboard solo and resolved with a long siege of solo guitar, always with classical influence from Blackmore, tinged with Hendrix, melodic from Vivian Campbell and dark from Iommi….
- Dr.ROCK: Tell me a few last words with meaning, and without so much verbiage, about this Musician and his career. I conclude the Consultation and prescribe the entire discography of AXEL RUDI PELL.
•MANU: Well Doc…I have many albums by this artist, not all but almost all. AXEL RUDI PELL is a guarantee of reliability, of repeated schemes in his records and continued success maintained over time. He is already a historic Musician, a brilliant Guitarist and with his prestigious band and his endearing songs he represents a symbol of the best Hard & Heavy Classic.
